UMW Rugby Team Lends a Hand at Rappahannock Education Farm

Early Saturday, over 65 dedicated players from the University of Mary Washington Rugby team came together to volunteer at the Rappahannock Education Farm located in White Oak. The event marked a significant opportunity for the rugby team to engage with the community while supporting local agricultural initiatives.
Participants worked diligently throughout the day, assisting with various tasks aimed at enhancing the farm's operations. Their efforts included planting seeds, weeding, and maintaining the farm's infrastructure. The Rappahannock Education Farm focuses on educational programs that teach sustainable farming practices and provide fresh produce to local food banks, making the rugby team's contribution especially impactful.
