Local Musician Releases Guitar Instruction Book and New Album

PARKERSBURG — A talented musician from the Mid-Ohio Valley has made significant strides in his career by publishing his first instructional book and launching his ninth solo album. Charlie Read's latest works, titled "Modern Guitar Duets" and "Metanoia," were unveiled within the last week, showcasing his dedication to both music education and performance.

Read, who imparts his knowledge of guitar and other string instruments at C.A. House Music in Parkersburg, has built a reputation as a skilled educator. He estimates that he has taught approximately several hundred students throughout his career, inspiring many to pursue their musical passions.

The instructional book aims to provide aspiring guitarists with innovative techniques and engaging duets that enhance their playing skills. Meanwhile, "Metanoia" features a collection of original compositions that reflect Read's unique musical style and artistic evolution. With these new releases, Read continues to contribute to the vibrant music scene in the Mid-Ohio Valley, encouraging both learning and creativity among musicians.
