Fort Wayne Students Dive into Financial Sector at Local Credit Union

Approximately 350 sophomores from Fort Wayne Community Schools had the opportunity to explore the financial sector during a recent visit to a local credit union on the city's northwest side. This event was part of the 3DE program organized by Junior Achievement, which aims to provide students with real-world experiences that enhance their understanding of various industries.

During the visit, students engaged in interactive activities and discussions that highlighted the importance of financial literacy and the role of credit unions in the community. They learned about budgeting, saving, and the various financial services offered by credit unions. This hands-on experience not only broadened their knowledge of the financial sector but also helped them develop essential skills for their future careers.

The initiative underscores the importance of experiential learning in education, encouraging students to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. By immersing themselves in the financial world, students gained valuable insights that will benefit them as they prepare for their future endeavors.
