PHOENIX – It was June 1975, and the clock read 6 p.m. That meant David Hines and a host of his teammates were meeting for another practice. Little did they know that this was just the beginning of a remarkable journey in education and athletics that would span nearly five decades. Hines has dedicated 47 years to the field of education in Arizona, with 17 of those years spent serving in the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA).
Throughout his career, Hines has been a steadfast advocate for student-athletes, emphasizing the importance of education and sportsmanship. His commitment to fostering a positive environment for youth in sports has left an indelible mark on countless students and educators alike.
